On-Demand/Made-To-Order Knitwear
Knitwear pieces are produced on-demand in Brooklyn, NY, using state-of-the-art 3D knitting technology. Thanks to this innovative method, each item is made within 5-8 business days of when an order is placed. Producing items after orders helps minimize excess inventory waste and reduces our environmental footprint. You can learn more about the process here.

On-demand production begins when you place your order. Once your order is placed, you will receive email updates notifying you of shipment. On-demand items typically ship within 5-8 business days.

Yes. Our goal is to take the stress out of clothing shopping. We offer complimentary styling support because we want to make getting dressed easier. Email us at styling@birdieandclaire.com for help putting your look together.

Orders / Shipping / Returns
We want you to be happy with your purchase, so you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return for a full refund.
If 14 days have passed, you can still request a return within 30 days for an exchange or store credit. You can read the full return policy here.

Yes. Unless otherwise stated during the special order process, all special orders follow our standard return policy.
We’re happy to exchange sizes or colors from a bundle, based on availability. If you return only part of a bundle, you’ll be charged the regular full price for any items you keep. Your refund will reflect the updated total.
We offer free ground shipping in the U.S. over $200. You can see the full shipping policy here.
While we do not currently offer international shipping, we hope to offer it in the future. If we don't yet ship to your geographic location and you are interested in placing an order, please send us an email at hello@birdieandclaire.com.

We process all orders within 2 business days (excluding holidays and weekends). You will receive an email with tracking information when your order is in the mail.
If an item is a pre-order, the shipping date is listed in the product description. You will be notified by email when your purchase is on the way.

We operate online only at this time. Throughout the year we have pop-up shopping events in-person. Join our email list to get notifications about upcoming events or visit our events page for details on the next pop-up near you.
We are currently working with design and production partners in NYC and Brooklyn to manufacture our Birdie & Claire products. Materials are sourced thoughtfully from around the world and are listed on each product page. You can also learn more about how our knitwear products are made here.
We also offer a small selection of items from other independent brands. Sourcing details are shared in each product description.
Not at all. While we thoughtfully consider the needs of women as they move through different chapters of life, we design with a focus on comfort, ease, and longevity, and hope is that women of ALL ages will fall in love with our styles. This is a party that everyone is invited to!
We listen closely to our customers and design with the realities of everyday life in mind, including the ways bodies shift and change over time.
This means paying attention to details like breathable fabrics, flexible fits, bra-friendly silhouettes, and styles that move with you.
Our hope is that the women wearing our pieces feel seen, supported, and beautifully themselves at every age.
We’ve kept in mind many of the normal physical and lifestyle changes that are experienced as we all age. Things like making sure that: (1) fabric is breathable to regulate body temperature, (2) every item is compatible with wearing a bra, (3) garments are simple to put on and free of tiny hard-to-reach buttons...and the list goes on!
