Product Availability

When will products be available?

We expect the first Birdie & Claire collection of apparel products to become available for purchase late 2022. Make sure to sign up for our newsletter to get updates and a behind-the-scenes look at the design process. 

A carefully selected assortment of products from other independent brands is currently available for purchase on our site. More products will continue to be added, and we’ll notify our community of new releases with our newsletter. 

My size is sold out. Will you be getting more or can I special order?

When a size is sold out, you can sign-up on the product page and we’ll notify you when more arrive. In some cases, we can do a special order of specific sizes. Contact us and we’ll see what we can do. Unless otherwise noted during the ordering process, all special orders follow our standard return policy (see below). 

I like the product, but does it come in other colors? 

Sometimes! We might not have every color of an item in stock, but we are always happy to look into special ordering. Give us a call or send a message to hello@birdieandclaire.com

I’m looking for a specific style that I don’t see offered. Will you be getting other styles? 

Yes. We will continue to build out our offering over time. If you are looking for something specific that you don’t see on our site, let us know. In some cases, it is possible for us to reach out to our wholesale partners and find you just what you are searching for. We’re here to help make it easy. Orders / Shipping / Returns

What is the return policy?

We want you to be happy with your purchase, so you have 30 days from the time your order is delivered to return your item for a refund. You can read the full return policy here

Can I return an item that was special ordered for me? 

Yes. Unless otherwise stated during the special order process, all special orders follow our standard return policy. 

What are the shipping options? 

We offer free ground shipping in the U.S. You can see the full shipping policy here. While we do not currently offer international shipping, we hope to offer it in the future. If we don't yet ship to your geographic location and you are interested in placing an order, please send us an email at hello@birdieandclaire.com.

What are the international taxes, duties, etc. that I have to pay? 

We do not currently offer international shipping. Stay tuned for updates to this policy.

When will I receive my order?

We process all orders within 2 business days (excluding holidays and weekends). You will receive an email with tracking information when your order is in the mail.

What do I do if I received a defective order or never received my order? 

Please contact us at returns@birdieandclaire.com so we can find a solution and make it right.

How do I make changes to an order I’ve already placed?

General

Where are you located? 

Our business is entirely online at this time. While we do not have a physical storefront, we are hoping to be able to offer in-person shopping events and experiences in the future. Sign up for our email list to be notified.

Where are the Birdie & Claire products made? Where do the materials come from? 

We are currently working with design and production partners in NYC to manufacture our Birdie & Claire products. The textiles for each garment are thoughtfully sourced internationally and details will be listed in each product description. 

We also offer a small selection of items sourced from other independent brands. All information and materials will be listed directly in each product description. 

Are Birdie & Claire items just for older women? 

While we are centering women as they age in the design process, our hope is that women of ALL ages will fall in love with our timeless styles. This is a party that everyone is invited to!

What do you mean by “centering women as they age in the design process”? 

In every design decision, we’ve taken into consideration the unique features that women desire as they approach each new decade. We've incorporated features that women told us they are looking for during customer interviews. We also hope that the imagery on our site reflects and is inclusive of women across the age spectrum. 

What’s so different about an item designed for women as they get older? 

We’ve kept in mind many of the normal physical and lifestyle changes that are experienced as we all age. Things like making sure that: (1) fabric is breathable to regulate body temperature, (2) every item is compatible with wearing a bra, (3) garments are simple to put on and free of tiny hard-to-reach buttons...and the list goes on!

Who are in all of your photos? 

The photos on the About Us page of our site are family photos from our founder, Julie. The family photos portray some of the women who inspired this idea and drive us to fulfill our mission. Additional images on the site are from the service Stocksy. Over time, we are excited to share photos of other women who inspire us and who will be modeling our clothes. It is important to us that our photos reflect our community, and we plan to continue to work to represent a diversity of bodies. 

I need styling help. Do you offer this? 

Our goal is to take the stress out of clothing shopping and we’ve got styling services in the works. Currently, we are available for complimentary styling sessions if you'd like support putting all the pieces of your look together. The black icon you see at the bottom of our page is an accessibility tool. It can enlarge text, highlight links, increase contrast, and make other changes that can improve your viewing experience.
